Click the PERT Analysis button
Click the PERT Entry Sheet

Hello Manan,

You display the "PERT Analysis" toolbar : View / Toolbars...
Click the "PERT Entry form" button to set the optimistic , pessimistic and
most likely duration.
Click the "Calculate PERT"

I have worked with this some in Project 2000, but all it does is calculate the expected duration in the 'Duration' field.

Does MS Project have the ability to calculate the probability of meeting a deadline? If so, which version of Project?

Hello Jason,

No, Project doesn't have the ability to calculate the probability of
meeting a deadline. Some add-on softwares such as @RISK from Palissade do
that.

Gee, that's great if the PERT Analysis toolbar is an
available choice in views/toolbars. I'm trying to get the
blasted toolbars to even show up as options, and having no
luck. Any ideas?

Hi Valeri,

Have you tried them all? Even re-installing Project? And the Analysis tools
still don't show?

That's what I'm saying. They show up in the registry, but
not in my View/Toolbars/. PERTAnalysis isn't even an
option in the GLOBAT.MPT
I ditched the MPT from all it's little hidey holes, and
still can't get the PERTAnalysis. I uninstalled and
reinstalled Project and now the PDF menu that I had
previously does not show up in the available Tool Bars,
and I still don't have PERT Analysis available.

I just started a new thread for this, and included the
history of what's been happening/not happening, and what
I've done to get where I'm at.

Actually, I'm a few hours of work away from finishing my free monte-carlo
simulation macro.
It is simple but what do you want for free?

Course?
I'm mostly self taught.
I'll put out a notice when the code is complete for download and you can try
it out.
