Pesky Task Pane

Whenever I open a new document or a saved one the Task
pane opens to the right hand side of it. I have gone to
options and unchecked "Startup Task Pane" but it still
opens. I have also right clicked on its status bar and
unchecked it there but when I close and re-open its there
again.

So, how do I stop it.

The following macro in Normal.dot will keep it from appearing. If you
should change your mind at some later date, change the word False to True:

Sub AutoOpen()
Application.TaskPanes(wdTaskPaneDocumentActions).Visible = False
End Sub

The instructions arn't very clear for my version (Office
2003)
