To backup the local PST archive file, MS recommends you to use the free
utility PFBACKUP.
We are pushing out Office 2003 with GPO. What's the recommended way of
adding PFBACKUP to everybody? Any good way of pushing it out, and in that
case how?
If I install it myself, manually, it only seem to install for my account. If
I logout and back in with another user, it's not added to their Outlook. If
I try to install it again under this second user, it says it's already
installed, please uninstall before you install it again...
Did figure out though, that the second user could open up Outlook and go to
COM Add-ins and add outbak.dll from ..\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office11\ADDINS\ and that will actually make it work. But that's not
an acceptable solution for our 1500 users. It needs to be more automatic...
Any suggestions?
TIA!!
