Phantom "Account" appear in Accounts in Outlook 2000

This is driving me mad! Lately, every time I launch Outlook 2000 a
phantom account appears and made the default one in Accounts.
Consequently, I am asked to provide a password to enter an account I
do not have or want. Please tell me how to stop this.
