phantom contacts

Hello,

I am using Outlook 2007 on XPSP2. There are contacts that are not in my
contact list, who show up when I start typing a recipients name. I suspect
they are there because I used them in the past. However, some are too old
and I need to get rid of them.

Is there a way to get rid of all contacts that are not in one's address
book?

You can delete the unwanted entries one-by-one by selecting each with the
arrow keys and pressing Delete. You can clear the entire cache by following
