phantom user in calendar event

B

BLMuzzy

When someone invites our CEO to an event via outlook 2003 calendar (with
Exch 2003), they get a msg from system administrator saying Undeliverable,
'user x' could not be reached. 'User x' is the ex-admin asst who no longer
has a mailbox on our server.

I've tried to remove any reference to 'user x' in CEO's calendar. User x
has no permissions to CEO calendar and is not a delegate. mail to CEO is
not automatically forwarded to user x. CEO doesn't have a rule in outlook
mentioning user x.

Any suggestions where else I should look?

thanks,
Bob

Sounds like the hidden delegate rule still might be forwarding those requests. You can delete the delegate rule with the free MAPI Editor tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=55FDFFD7-1878-4637-9808-1E21ABB3AE37. Complete instructions in the mfcmapi.doc included with the download.
