Phone dialer causes reboot

When editing contact information phone number a box pops
up telling me to configure the dialer information. It ask
for area code, call waiting diable number and number to
dial to reach an outside line.
It will not let me cancle the box even though cancle is
an option, If I put the area code in the systen will
reboot.
I do not use the modem or have a phone line hooked up.

Win XP PRO and Outlook 2000, AMD 1.2ghz, 512 RAM, 40 GB
HD, 64MB video RAM.
ANy Ideas?
