Phone extensions should be in their own fields. Some dialers can.

Some of the VoIP clients cannot handle the extension as part of the phone
field.

I am using the Small Business Manager in which I am linking clients to
accounts. I am a bit disappointed that the company particulars are not
picked up when I create a new contact as part of an account. If they were, I
would have less information to enter. There could then be a field for the
person's extension.

And you wondered how I would relate these two topics to one another!!!
