Phone Labels

I have been looking all over and I can't find a way to
change/customaize the contact's phone labels. What is ISDN
and who uses that as well as a telex number? After having
someone's home and business phones what's the use of a
Primary phone label?
I still don't belive MS has worked this out so poorly.
Please share with me your opinions in this matter and let
me know if there is a way to change those $#%$## labels
