Phone number format

Chris

I recently upgraded my OS from 2000 to XP. Since then
whenever I enter a new contact, the phone number no
longer formats to (###) ###-#### but looks like
##########. The automatic reformat is gone. Where do I
go to reset this format option?

Thanks,
Chris

There is no such setting. Masking is automatic when your default dialing
location is set correctly. Check it.

I have looked hard and can't find the location for what
you're describing.

Sorry to ask, but can you lead me to the right spot?

Thanks
Chris

Control Panel > Phone and Modem options...
Make sure you have a location specified that identifies your home area code
correctly.
