Photo Editor doesn't auto. open jpg's

i used to be able to click on a jpg and have it
automatically open in photo editor, however i recently
upgraded to office 2000. there were some minor annoyances
so i went back to office97, and now when i click on a jpg,
photo editor opens up but does not open the automatically
open the jpg...i have to go file > open > then select the
file i want.

is there a command i need to enter into the jpeg file type
properties that will automatically open a jpg? please let
me know, thnx

In Windows Explorer, right click on a .jpg file, select "open with", then
select photo editor from the list of applications and check the always open
with this application check box.

well that works for photos on my local HD, but i'm on a
network and still photo ed. won't auto open jpgs on the
network.
