In Microsoft Photo Editor (Version 3.0.2.3 - Office XP SP3), if a user has
ever used File, Print and changed the number of copies (e.g. to 2),
subsequently, every print using the Print button in the tool bar prints
multiple copies.
Repro:
1. open a picture in Photo Editor
2. click the Print button in the Toolbar - one copy is printed
3. click File, Print
4. change Copies to 2; click OK
5. click File, Print - two copies get printed
6. click File, Print - observe that Copies is 1 again - click OK - one copy
is printed
7. click the Print button in the Toolbar - two copies are printed
8. open regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Photo
Editor\3.0\Print - observe that the Copies Value is 2 - change it to 1
9. back in Photo Editor, click the Print button on the Toolbar - observe
that one copy is printed
I found reference to this problem at
http://www.tabletquestions.com/micr...efault-print-button-give-multiple-copies.html,
but can't find any reference to it on the Microsoft web site.
Does anyone know if there is a "fix" (hotfix?) for this problem?
