Photo editor won't minimise

I have been running Photo Editor happily in Office 2000 on XP but suddenly it won't display minimised. When you click on the minimise button it disappears and only displays on the task bar. Right clicking will maximise it but that's the only display option I can use. I've not changed anything or loaded anything new. Can anyone help?

Hi Pete,

I think you mean Restored rather than Minimized. A minimized window
will only display as a task on the Task Bar. A Restored window is a
sizable window.

It sounds like the window is opening off the Desktop. Here are a few
things to try to get it back:

- Open another window, right-click an empty area of the Taskbar and
select "Cascade"

If that doesn't work then:

- Right-click the Word task and click "Restore" if necessary
- Right-click again and select "Move"
- Use one of the arrow keys on the keyboard to "lock in" the move
command
- Use your mouse and see if you can move it back to the Desktop

Thanks Beth,
Your second suggestion worked perfectly. This situation
has been bugging me for months too!! I hadn't thought to
try the newsgroup, but am glad you were there.

Gratefully,
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Glad to help out. :)

You can also search all past newsgroup posts using Google Groups:
http://www.google.com/grphp - it's search engine is far better than
the newsgroup search on the Microsoft Communities web site and Google
archives newsgroup posts starting around 1995.
