Photo Editor

Here is an interesting problem. I am running a Windows 2003, sp1 Terminal
Server that supports only 20-25 users from our branch offices. This server
has Office 2000 sp3 on it, installed properly with the Terminal Services
add-on. However, during the installation, I left the Photo Editor intact.
It also has Outlook 2003 installed on it as the email client, with Outlook
2000 being uninstalled (removed) from the office installation a few months
after Office was first loaded.

Our TS users are having a problem when they attempt to open an attachment
from Outlook or a picture from explorer, it attempts to open in the Photo
Editor, receving an error about file information in the registry. Since we
are running 2003, there is the Picture and Fax Viewer that installs by
default and this can be used to view and print the pictures that the users
need. They really don't require the Photo Editor anyway, but it is set as
their default.

Even after setting the users profile to open pictures using the Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer (File Types), Outlook still attempts to open the
pictures using the Photo Editor.

As a workaround, I tried to remove Microsoft Photo Editor from the office
installation using Add/Remove programs, but now I do not see it in the
selections - ie. I can't uninstall it from the office setup program. Where
did it go?

Is there any way to manually uninstall Photo Editor WITHOUT using the Office
Setup program?

I'd rather not uninstall office completely for them and have to go in an
redo all of their Office settings. Eventually, I will have to upgrade them
to Office 2003, but because of compatibility issues with another application,
we cannot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
