Then you should recreate that gallery.
And for sanity's sake...don't store images in the root...you'll end up with a mess of stuff there and not be able to find what you need easily. I keep only pages & scripts & css in the root everything else goes in other folders.
You don't have much control over the arbitrarily named photogallery folder though...so don't try to tame that beast...just let it be. And, when it works, don't mess with it...let it have it's own quiet place
