Photo Gallery: image display size on "click" in browser

Hi. I'm a newbie. I am using a slideshow layout for a photogallery. On
Publish, the photos display full screen with the ass'd caption off the bottom
of screen. Is there a way to modify the full screen display to, say, 1/2
screen so user doesn't have to scroll down to see the caption (not talking
about alternative text - that is working well on cursor float over the
slideshow thumbnails)?

Also get a script error message in FrontPage when I try to preview a photo
gallery layed out as a slide show. Is that normal?

Thanks

I was able to figure it out. In the edit mode of the photogallery, one can
set the pixel dimensions for the "on click" image. I chose a 350 pixel width
and set it as the default. It worked fine. I may try the other program
also. Thanks. I have yet to understand the reason for the script error in
the slideshow layour of photo gallery when viewed in "preview" mode.
Congratulations to the undefeated Boise State University Bronco football team
on their great victory over OU in the Fiesta Bowl!

Look at the page in FireFox - then you will see another reason to give
up on the FrontPage slide show gallery. This gallery will only display
correctly in Internet Explorer (unless there are less than five images
in the gallery).

I just downloaded Mozilla's Firefox browser per your advice. I see your
point. My link bars run off right margin also. What is the photo gallery
program you recommend again and how does one insert the gallery from
FrontPage.

Thanks again!

Eleanor lists a few at

There is also the free Irfanview (Google for it), which is not on that
page.

The usual method is to construct the gallery outside of FrontPage in a
folder, then use File->Import to import the folder into your website.
Finally set up links to the main page in the gallery, and links back
from that page to the rest of the website..
