photo thumbnail different from photo?

In my picture files, some photos display a thumbnail icon of a different
photo found in a different picture file folder. When I double click on the
photo, the correct picture is displayed. However, the thumbnail still takes
on a photo different from the actual photo.

In your operating system you can delete the "thumbs.db" file for that
folder and recreate it. Just Set to show hidden and system files, and
change view from thumbnails to details, delete the thumbs.db, and change
back to thumbnails view. See Windows Help if you need more explaination.
