Photodraw 2000

A little while ago I got help from from previous posts in this community in
making Photodraw 2000 v1 work with XP (by setting compatabilities, etc). It
now works fine, except that I can only save files with a 1-character file
name ie a.mix or b.jpg, etc. If I import a file with a longer name, work on
it and save it - thats fine. If, however, I "Save As" it will take the first
chacter only of the filename I enter. I then have to change the filename in
Explorer.

Anybody had the same problem? Any solutions?

The one-character-filename problem is caused by running the
program in Windows compatibility mode. Unfortunately, that's
probably the only mode that will allow PhotoDraw v.1 to run at
all, so I think you're stuck with the problem. You can always
rename the file later in Windows Explorer.
