There seems to be a workaround, that might help in most cases. I would
like to thank the original poster who posted this solution in the
german group. Hopefully it will work with an international version
also.
You need to activate the compatibility mode in windows 2000 by
entering regsvr32 %systemroot%/apppatch/slayerui.dll. You have to be
admin to do this. Create a shortcut to photodrw.exe if you havent´t
one yet. Right click properites. There you´ll find the new register
compatibilty mode. For me only Windows95 mode worked. The
compatibility mode must remain activated, do NOT enter regsvr32 /u
%systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll.
I was able to start Photodraw again. Maybe there are other solutions
to get around the admin issue, maybe this solution gives a hint, what
kind of nature the origial problem with sp4 is.
Would be happy to receive comments in the group, if it worked for you
also.
