Hi,
I have a website which I have been running for quite some time and it has a
bunch of photogalleries in it. I have had no problems using FP2002 until
about 2 weeks ago. I went to publish a new page, and instead of the
photogallery turning up I simply got a URL on the page that looked like
this:
If I try to view the page whilst the publish is taking place, this doesn't
happen. It ONLY occurs at the point where FP says "Processing Web updates
for http:// etc" - the photogallery disappears and up come that URL instead.
Now, obviously the URL is nonsense because it's got "photogallery" in there
twice. I've checked the HTML on my local machine and it looks perfect, plus
if I view the page on my local machine (running XP Pro) everything is fine.
I have done the following things to try to rectify the situation:
1. Upgraded to FP2003
2. Recalculated all my hyperlinks, multiple times
3. Deleted every single file on the server machine and re-installed FP
extensions so I have a clean web and re-published everything
4. Created a new web on my local machine and copied the files across from
the old web
5. Re-created each photogallery
None of these things made any difference. In fact, after deleting every file
from the server I had to ask the guy running the server to restore from
backup since at that point none of my photogalleries existed. I also created
a photogallery in another website I run which is also kept on my local
machine and hosted by the same server, and that one worked fine. So it's
definitely something to do with my current local web I imagine.
If anyone has seen this problem and knows anywhere I could even START
looking for the answer, I would be forever in your debt. The website holds
pictures of my 18-month-old daughter and none of her relatives scattered
around the world is able to see any of the new pictures taken.
