Photos copied to CD are read-only; cannot change this

Using Office 07 and a CD-RW: Everytime we copy photos from My Pics to CD,
they become read-only. They are not read-only before copying and message says
I can not remove the Read Only attribute after their copied.
Can anyone tell me the way to copy photos to CD-RW that are not read-only
and can be deleted and add more pics later?? Thanks.

We were just using explorer to drag and drop, then write files to CD. I'm
helping someone who's not into computers and I am unfamiliar with 2007
Office.

That should still work.

The files will be read-only on the disk. If you need to edit them you copy
them over to your hard drive, change the attributes, edit them, and burn
them again.

You need to format the CDRW disk for packet writing. that way you can add
and delete individual files to it. The Windows CD Burning function will not
do this.
Nero or Roxio is what you need.....

CD's by nature are usually read only. You can't edit files on them.
Often if you copy the file from the CD you will need to change it's
attribute to allow editing.

Thanks, Gordon. It's my boss that is making the CD. I'll have to see other
what type of burn software is on that computer.
Have a great day.
