Photoshop and PowerPoint integration

Hi!

I am looking for a plug-in (or some other way to do this) between Powerpoint
and Photoshop. So when I have a PP presentation and want to work on a
picture in it, it takes me directly to Photoshop, lets me work on the
picture and then insert it back into the presentation.

A collegue told me that this is possible with Windows. Do you know if there
is a way to do this on a Mac (OSX 10.3.3) as well?

thanks for your attention
I would appriciate it, if you also sent your answers to me personally:

Hi Ann,

What you are describing is called in computer jargon, Object Linking and
Embedding" or OLE. PowerPoint Macintosh supports some OLE, but not this
particular feature. If you would like to suggest that this feature be added
to the product please send a feature request to Microsoft using the Help
menu in PowerPoint.

This is a feature that the MacBU is paying close attention to for requests,
so if you think this would be helpful to you please take the time to let
them know.

Meanwhile you can use Insert > Picture From File and click the checkbox to
make a link (and optionally to save with the document). If you link the
picture to the file then when you re-open the presentation the picture will
be replaced with the current version of that file. You can't change the file
names or any other part of the directory path if you link to the files,
otherwise the links break. So this may not be a great method to use.

If you do use this method when you are done save the presentation as a
PowerPoint package. That may make it easier to work with the next time and
also easier to distribute, since you distribute the entire folder intact.
