How do I use a photoshopped picture in a powerpoint presentation?

Save the picture from Photoshop as a PNG. Then in PPT, use
Insert|Picture|From File.

Hi Elizabeth

First NEVER cut and paste from PShop or you will get huge files!

If your photoshop image has transparent areas you want to keep then as Echo
says save as a .png and insert > picture. Change the resolution in photoshop
so that the image is around 1024 x 768 pixels for a full screen image (or
pro rata if smaller)

If you dont have transparent areas then save as a jpeg which will give
smaller file sizes. With jpegs you can use the compress pictures tool in
powerpoint to reduce file size to a minimum.

Elizabeth,

What John says is good. It's called OLE or Object Linking and Embedding, in
this case embedding. It's not bad technology for its time, but its time may
have been a while ago. <g>
