thanks for the help mate

I have a package that only supports PHP.
we can not upgrade the package to a business one as I can not justify the
extra costs to be worth it.
so we need a PHP or just a HTML shopping cart, anyone know of one?
I have been looking for a couple of weeks and still can not find one that is
cost effective. they are priced at hundreds of pounds for big carts, we
only have 50 items at most, and we are a not-for-profit voluntary service
for local (within one mile) residents in out community.

we do not want one that is paid for in commission or a monthly charge as we
do not and never will make any money from this service to pay these charges.
so we need a program that we can use to create the pages and only pay a one
of price for this program, with no other charges involved.

thank you in advance for any help.

Give
oscommerce
a look

You could also look in the php section of

www.hotscripts.com

look for e-commerce at that site.

And....

Do a google search on

php shopping carts

or the such....

Best to you.......

wow that took some uploading.

I have looked at it and thought free, where's the catch?

none!!

installed it and tried to configure it and found out it need MySQL. not
available on my server, the cost to include this is double what I am paying
at the moment, and would not be worth it, as I could upgrade and get a cart
free anyway.

we need an all PHP cart. this is all we have available on our server
package.

any other ideas?

thanks again.

Yes....

as suggested look at the php section at www.hotscripts.com

they have a couple of free carts that do not need databases.... but you have
to understand that your specified requirements really limit your choices!

imo.... if your host is wanting to double your cost for a simple mysgl
database...... YOU NEED A NEW HOST!!!!!

tell them to go stuff a vegamite sandwhich....... there are thousands of
hosting companies that offer this (database files that is) as a part of
their very inexpensive fees.

Best to you......
