Physical % Complete does not aggregate the values below the task l

Hi there,

Does anyone know why the “Physical % Complete†field, at the top level,
does not show the aggregate value of those tasks below? For example, Task 1
has 2 sub-task A and B and each of them has 50% Physical % complete. Then
Task 1 should have the "Physical % Complete" value set to 50%. Is there any
way to make it aggregate the values? Thanks

Hi,

If you ask why, here's why.
Suppose one task is getting a construction permit, the second is painting
somethingh.
How do you want to add up 60% of a construction permi with 20% of the
painting?
Iow, there is no certainty that what Physical % Complete stands for in
different tasks has the same dimension thus it cannot be consolidated.
