Pick Month from Date and display as text

I need to take two dates ie display 'Jan Vs Jan' in a cell
each month I import new data to show a rolling 13 month
period but I want to show what month is being compared
with. I can use =C4 &" Vs "O3" but I get the MS date and
can not format to only show month. Anyone help.
