Pick up a column form another sheet

I have a SS that is done weekly (food prices in Kirkuk, Iraq). I need to be able to automatically bring a column of values into the next weeks sheet for comparison. I can copy and paste special, but there has to be a way (I would think) through a macro or formula to do it. I have no access over here except through this forum...any help out there?

Copy, then Paste Special>Paste Link will probably do what you want without
too much thought and effort :)

That will work even if the columns are in different files: but both MUST be
saved, or it won't work.

If they are in different files, set up your first workbook, then save a
copy. Name one "Working Copy" and the other "Previous Copy".

Link from Working Copy to Previous copy.

When you have finished producing This Week's, save it over the top of Last
Week's. Then next week, you pick up Current Copy and work on it, last
week's values will already be there.

When you are doing this, it is much safer to use Named Ranges, so that rows
can come and go without producing errors.

Look up the Help topic "Use names in formulas" for more.

This whole strategy depends on the file names not changing, so ensure
everyone in the office understands that death comes swiftly to he who
changes a file name :)

Cheers
