Pick value from a pivot table

Hi,
while picking a value from pivot table we get the value
GETPIVOTDATA("10",$A$3,"a","a") for example so when the next value is
required while pulling the cells the value is not getting changed. This
problem is observed in Office XP and not in Office 2000. How to avoid this
function GETPIVOTDATA().

I have stopped using this function in favour of =VLOOKUP().
