Pictue file size

I bring a lot of digital photos into my PowerPoint presentations. The
pictures from my digital camera are 4 - 5 MB per picture in size which makes
for a large PowerPoint file. Can some one tell me how much I can reduce the
size of my picture files (jpg) and still maintain excellent screen and
printing quality?
