I would like to suggest functionality to be added to the office suite
applications (particularly Word) where by after inserting a picture into a
document you can give it a caption that is attached to the picture, and shown
in a bar attactch to the edge of the picture. The reason for this is so that
a caption such as 'Figure 1' can be bound to the inserted picture so that if
the layout of the document is amended it takes this caption with it, so that
where it is reference in the document text you are certain that the correct
picture is still labelled.
