Picture Compression Word 2003

Hi,

We are using Office 2003 Standard Edition and I would like to have users
automatically compress pictures before saving their documents.

I use the manuall method for compressiong :
* right click image
* Compress Pictures ( all pics in doc )
* Save document.

Is there reg key or a macro at startup or another method to do this
automatically for all documents ?
PS I tried the reg key AutomaticPictureCompressionDefault but this has no
effect , apparently this only works in Office 2007.
