Picture doesn't stay inline with text

[Breaker Breaker]

I choose to Insert|Picture|From File and browse to the location of my graphic
(GIF) and select it. I make sure that it is formatted as In Line with Text,
Top an Bottom, but it still "floats" off the top of the page!

I also don't remember specifying anything to do with Anchors, but yet its
anchored !!!! What do I have to do to get Word to just place the picture at
my insertion point (directly after the paragraph). ?????

A picture with Top and Bottom wrapping is *not* In Line With Text. Click on
the picture to display the Picture toolbar. Click on the Text Wrapping
button (dog icon), and choose In Line With Text.
