Picture formatting help - Word 2007

I am not able to move pictures in a Word document in 2007 the same way as in
2000 or 2003. Specifically, after inserting a picture into a document, I
would right click the picture then choose “Tight†for the Wrapping Style and
“Other†for the Horizontal Alignment. Doing this would allow me to highlight
the picture and then hold down the “Alt†key while left clicking and dragging
the picture to a precise location in the document. I have looked everywhere
and tried all options in Word 2007 to find this same functionality and unable
to do so. Can anyone tell me if this function is available in 2007? If so,
where?!?!

The feature is the same and works correctly as it was in Word '03, at least
it is on my system which has Word 97, 00, 02, 03 & 07 installed on it. I
would recommend to turn off the "Move object with Text" on either version of
the program under Layout, Picture Position tab.

I checked my settings and Move Object with Text is off by default. Do you
know anything else I can try?

Can you drag the image without holding the Alt key? While I know it
disables the snap to grid feature it may be hanging your system. When I
tried to move an image (JPG) within a Word document with the Alt key
depressed it seemed to hang and cause a jump of the image in Word 2007 but I
didn't get the same jump when I tried it in Word 97, 2002 or 2003 with the
same document. Let me know what happens when you try without the Alt key.
