I have a spreadsheet that list the new parts I have used on my Harley.
Basically the spreadsheet shows the description, part #, cost, date
purchased, and from who. I have been able to add a picture of the part by
adding a comment using the following steps:
1 Insert Comment
2 Right click on the grey border and select Format Comment.
3. Click on the Colors and Lines tab
4. Click on the Fill Color dropdown and select Fill Effects
5. Click on the Picture tab
6. Click on the Select Picture... button
7. Select the picture I want and click Insert
8. Click the check box for Lock Picture Aspect Ratio
9. Click OK until I get back to the cell.
10 Size the picture
Then when I Mouse Over the cell that has the comment, the picture appears.
It works great... except that about every 10th time I open the spreadsheet,
I get an error message that Excel had to remove the comment, and I loose all
the pictures I have attached. I thought I would save copies of the worksheet
in several different subdirectories in case it happened again, but if it
happens to my main file, all of the copies are corrupt also.
I'm getting tired of attaching about pictures to about 40 cells.
Any suggestions?
