Picture larger than slide gets cut-off when moved or zoomed out

Hello,

I have a map that is larger than the slide, and I'm trying to
zoom/move across it to view several regions. When I zoom out or use
motion path to cover an area that is above or below the slide, that
area appears blank, like cut-off the map. When the area is to the left
or right of the slide, it works fine.

I've been reading postings about how to accomplish this (like with
panoramic pictures) and never found this problem mentioned.

Thanks, Troy, for your response. I've turned on the hardware
acceleration option with no change in the result. I'm not sure about
the type of graphic/video card; besides, the show will be running in a
laptop, and I don't know its characteristics yet.

I think this problem is because the map image is very large (like 30"
X 22") and there is no enough memory. If I crop the image width and
make the motion path up shorter, more area of the map is shown below.
Although this is not what I need, I only did it to see how the size of
the image impacted the cut-off part. What I need is a larger path AND
a zoom: with the area showing Mexico in the whole slide, I want a zoom
out and motion path (at the same time) to place South America in the
whole slide.

What I'm trying right now is placing the map, from Mexico to South
America, fitting the slide; then, hide it (somehow, if possible) and
make a fast zoom to show Mexico. Then, unhide the map and make the
zoom and motion to show South America. I know the resolution won't be
the same (the pixels show larger after the zoom to Mexico), but I
don't think of any other way to do this animation; maybe I'll need to
post on this later.
