Picture Manager - compressing JPEGS

In Picture Manager, with a JPEG open or selected, when I choose "Compress
Picture" and choose one of the options (Documents, Web Pages or Email), there
is no reaction when I click on "OK" i.e. it doesn not compress. When my
mouse moves over the "OK" button, the button turns white, but it won't
'click'.

Hi,

When you click OK, it is already compressed. Then save the file and see the
difference in size of the file.

Sorry that it's taken me a long time to respond - I've been away.

Thanks for your message, but it doesn't help me, unfortunately. I know how
to compress images. I've done it many times. The problem is that one
particular image I have (a very simple image that is about 6ooKB) will not
compress. When I press SAVE, the image that is saved is not the compressed
image.
