Picture Manager - Picture Cut Off

T

teeterbug

I am in great need of assistance. I uploaded pictures from my Sony camera to
Picture Manager. I have never had this issue until now. I'm using Office 03
on Vista and have been for a couple month with no issues. I sent the
pictures to someone who replied back saying 2 of the 3 pictures were cut off.
I went into the saved area and 2 of the files have a gray bar at the bottom
exactly the same size as the other cutting off the picture. I need the full
picture and wanted to know if it's possible to get the original picture back
as it's no longer on my camera.

I've seen that happen when I tried to restore pictures on my mom's camera
card. She deleted them before making sure they were on her computer. Don't
suppose that was the case with you?

Unfortunately no. I moved the pictures to my computer and they looked
perfect. I renamed them as I always do. That's why I'm puzzled. I'm also
concerned this may happen again and would like to prevent it.

You checked them after transfering them?

Yes I did. That's what was so strange. When I renamed them and moved them
to the folder, they were fine. One of the pictures turned out fine too. Is
there any way to get the original picture back to the way it was?

Hi Teeterbug,

The MS Office Picture manager is basically a viewer with a couple of tools in place. You may want to search your computer
(Start=>Search) and look for any 'picture' files that have a date or date-modified of about the time you took the photos or moved
them to the PC to see if there may be a backup or the originally named graphic still available.
