Picture Manager vs. Windows Picture & Fax Viewer

The thread where I originally posted this question seems to have grown cold,
so I'm starting a new one. A friend has MS Office Picture Manager; if she
saves an attached e-mail .jpg photo in My Pictures, she can open Picture
Manager and "find" the photo, and/or it will be in Picture Manager. BUT if
she double clicks on the photo in My Pictures (or in the e-mail attachment
itself), it opens in Windows Picture & Fax Viewer. She has gone to Folder
Options, selected .jpg in File Types, and it definitely says "Opens with MS
Picture Manager". And yet, double clicking on the photo STILL opens in
Windows Picture & Fax Viewer. I've asked several places for help for her
with this, and yet no one seems to have an answer.

Paul,

I spoke with her on the phone and had her make those changes (she had only
changed one of them before) and that did it! Thank you SO much!
