Picture Manager

I am trying to open up a tif using MO Picture Manager. When I right click and
choose "open with" Picture Manager is not an option. When I browse it is not
an option. I know where it is located but I can't make it appear as a choice.
Any help? I am using Vista and Microsoft Office Pro 2007.
Thank you,

Open the Picture Manager, Tools, File types, check those you want to open with
the Picture Manager.

I have done as you said and under Tools the only option is Customize. When
clicking on customize the following tabs appear: ToolBars, Commands and
Options. Under those tabs there is nothing with File types. Do you have
another suggestion as to how I can do this? I am using Vista and Office
2007, I had Office 2003 and didn't have this issue)
Thank you,

Try clicking Help, Detect and Repair.

That didn't work either. I went to add and remove and did a repair. I went to
Help and did Detect and Repair. Nothing is solving the problem. I checked
with the other secretary that is using Vista and Office 2007 and when you
right click on the picture Microsoft Office Picture Manager is right there to
select. On mine it isn't and I can't get it to be recognized. Please anyone
any other suggestions? Thank you Mary and Bob for your help.

I uninstalled Office 2007 and reinstalled hoping I would be able to use MO
Picture Manager as a selection for viewing certain files and it will not give
me the option. If anyone knows of a solution please help. This is so strange
and it shouldn't be so difficult for me to do this but I think there is a
glitch in either Office or Vista. The program that it wants me to use is
Windows Photo Gallery. That is fine however Picture Manager has an Export
feature that I use at times.
Thank you again.

In Vista, can you select Choose program on the right click menu? And
then "find" the Picture manager file?

Hi Bob,
On my desktop if I right click in ablank spot Picture Manager is not there.
If I right click on a picture and use Open With Picture Manager is not there.
However, I can access Picture Manager if I go to Start-Programs-Microsoft
Office-Microsoft Office Tools-Microsoft Office Picture Manage. I can also put
a short cut on my desktop. I can open it. I can copy files like pictures and
music notations and paste them into Picture Manager. I can then open them up
in Picture Manager to edit. But I cannot get picture manager as an option to
“Open Withâ€.

I don't have Vista, so I am guessing what you see. R-click the picture,
Open with, Choose Program, select Browse or Find?

That's what I am doing. It is not there and when I go where it is located
there is nothing to choose. When I right click on the pic there are 5
choices. None are PM. I select choose default program. There are 5
reccommended none are PM. I select other programs to choose and select the
the drop down arrow. There are 9 selections. None are PM. My final choice is
to Browse. I go to C/ProgramFiles/Microsoft Office/Office 12 and PM is not
there (It should be. Just OIS.EXE which is associated. Does not work wioth
that. My final try so far is to put PM on the desk top as a short cut. Right
click on the pic/ choose open with/Browse/select PM on the desk top/select
open and NOTHING. This is driving me NUTS! And I apologize for going on and
on but it is the only way I can let you know what I have done.
Thank you,

Hi Mary,
Yes I have done that. Refer to My post 5 and 6. I have done detect and
repair and reinstalled.
Thank you RozBuds

OIS.EXE should open "Picture Manager". It really sounds like something
odd in Vista. What happens if you open Picture Manager, Tools,
Customize, Toolbars, Menu bar, Reset button.

Maybe deleting all the thumbnails will help. They are in a folder similar to
this: (hidden)
C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OIS
