Picture parameters not changing, galleries not working, upload fai

I have now repaired my copy of FP 2002 several times, had a major dispute
with my web host and am at wit's end. Whenever I insert a picture into a web
page in my open web, it appears fine, but once uploaded/published, visitors
were telling me all they were seeing was a red X placeholder. When I went
back and checked the parameters for any picture uploaded, they had not
changed from C:\\\....etc.jpg (whatever) to the folder on the website, which
they always have until now.

This likely also explains why whenever I insert a photo gallery, only a
little line appears on the page telling me that it is referring back to the
location of the photos on my hard disk. Why is this happening?

Further, I am still not able to publish in FP, even though the server
extensions are installed at the website and I have no trouble using their
control-panel upload system to publish via HTTP. In FP, no matter what I
try, I get the dreaded "Unable to find a web at HTTP://XXX.com, Would you
like FP to create one?"

No one has been able to help me resolve this so far. I am wondering if my
copy of FP has gone bersek/bad or is so corrupted it will never work again?
My registry appears fine and all other Office software works beautifully - it
is just FP!

Help? Suggestions? Ideas? Clues? Many thanks to any and all!

Hi. The website is http://thelastbaron.com

I did import them into FP first, although not in the images folder, just the
basic web folder. The local web is/was open. I did ener the web address as
you suggested, to no avail.

The extensions are not broken. I think it is a FP problem of some other
nature as FP frequently acts very unpredictably. I have had techies from two
web hosts look at this and they insist it is on "my end," i.e., an FP
problem, but no one knows what.

Still lost, but thanks for the input.

What is the URL of the website?

When adding pix to FP you should Import them into FP first (into your Image(s) folder) THEN place them into your design from that folder.

You also have to be working with the local Web opened, not just a loose page.

You might have to enter the Publish to address as http://www.yyy.com

Lastly your extensions (if they exist) may be broken

You images are pointing to your Disc

Open you FP web, File import the images and then apply them
