Picture turns black

Someone gave me a PowerPoint file with an inserted
picture that displays correctly on one laptop with XP
Porfessional and PowerPoint 2002, but turns up black on
another laptop with XP Home and PowerPoint 2002. If I
insert the picture into a Word document, the same thing
happens. Any suggestions on how to get the picture to
display?

I would start by updating the video driver.

I have updated my Office XP suite with SP2. This seems
to have resolved the problem.
