Picture Won't Print

Hello, I am new to using Publisher 2007, formerly used 2003. In my problem
document, I have inserted a picture, then layered an auto shape over the top,
filled with a gradient that goes from white to transparent to give a sort of
washout effect, only not as washed out. For some reason the picture that is
below the auto shape will not print. I never had this problem in the older
version, any suggestions?

Publisher has problems with transparency. Save the auto shape as a .png picture,
re-insert into Publisher.
