Pictures and Graphics not Showing

I cannot see the inserted photos or graphics in publsiher 2003. I have tried
the trick of checking the video driver as mentioned in other posts but that
does not help. This is an XP machine that was working fine until today.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue? Other programs like Photoshop
are working fine.
