Pictures attachment not working in slide show in Pictures/Fax View

When I was running Outlook 2000, each time someone sends me a few pictures
attachments, I clicked on a picture, and MS Picture and Fax viewer came up as
the default program. I can then advance to the next picture from the
attachment or perform a slide show. However, ever since Outlook 2003 is
installed, the pictures cannot advanced anymore, nor do the slide show
feature work. Can anyone help? TIA.

I haven't heard of this type of behaviour with MS Picture and Fax viewer and
attachments in Outlook.
