Pictures change pages when a letter is typed.

I am inserting pictures for a report. When I create several pages, I move the
pictures into place, format them for Tight and go back to start the text.

As soon as I type a letter, the pictures clump to that page. The second
letter removes the additional pages. I have tried the Format settings in
various ways. I hae done this many time before without this happening, Word
2003. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

How are you creating the "several pages"?

Do you have "overtype" turned on by any chance (look at the OVR button in the
status bar?

Not that I know of, but it is a good question. The problem stopped as
mysteriously as it started, so that may have been it. I will keep it in mind.
Thanks!
