Pictures come up as the dreaded red X

Running Outlook 2002 and pictures don't always come up...I will get the
dreaded red X. Is this something the 'sender' is doing? Or is it a setting
that I have to change?

Thanks

It depends. If the sender doesn't embed the pictures directly into the
message or if the pictures are linked to a place you don't have access to,
they won't show up. Can you find out from one of the senders how they are
embedding or linking the pics in their messages?

I found that no one I sent it to was able to see it. So I think it is
something on my end.

It was a forwarded message to me. I was able to see the pictures, but the
next person in line couldn't.

I suspect the problem just has to do with the way the original sender put the
pictures into the message. Somehow, you were able to access them from the
original locations, but whoever you forwarded them to could not. Do you know
if the person you sent the message to is also using Outlook?
