Pictures Distorting from Word 2000 to 2003

We are in the process of upgrading our entire office (20 users minimum) to
Office 2003. And I have distiction of being the beta tester. My biggest
problem at this point is that when I print many of the previously created
Word files that have pictures, the photos, while appearing correct on the
screen, are distorted in printing. By that I mean the images are split into
multiple images. A photo can split into 2 to 8 images within the area that
would have been 1 image previously. We have hundreds of doucments that this
will affect. It seems to happen on one printer, but I haven't tested it on
all of the others. And I know the documents still print correctly through
the older version.

This is usually not a Word problem, but a printer driver problem.
Two things you can try:
1. In Word, disable background printing by clicking on Tools
| Options | Print | uncheck the "Background printing" box | OK.
2. In Windows, disable print spooling and/or advanced text
services, or enable printing directly to the printer, by clicking
