Pictures have been Xed out and the resolution is horrible

I compressed all of the pictures in my PPT to reduce the file size. After I
saved it (after the compression) now I have X's in some pictures and other
pictures are fuzy. But not all the pictures are like this. Anyway, is there
a way I can undo this and get my missing pictures back?

Thanks for the help!

Hi Kim

What version are you using? In 2007 you can undo even after saving, but not
if you have closed the file I'm afraid. But to get to the problems...

Red X replaces images on slides inserted into PowerPoint 2007 presentations

RED X instead of graphics

PowerPoint 2007 makes pictures blurry, loses GIF animation

You may need to go back to your source pictures & start again, in which case
this may help:
BATCH IMPORT images into PowerPoint
