pictures in database

i made an order and invoicing program that also have a style database. Each
style has an imbedded picture. These pictures are actually making the database
bigger. Is there a better way of having the picture pop up/ or be retrieve
outside
the database ? This way the database does not become so big. Will appreciate
any suggestion. Thanks

Most of us would recommend NOT storing the pictures in the database. You can
store the path and file name of the picture. There is additional information
