Pictures in messages shown with a red cross placemarker. Fix?

In Outlook 2002, some messages I receive (e.g. supermarket catalogue) do not
show pictures, but instead have a red cross in a box as a placemarker. This
has only happened recently. How do I fix this problem?

Clear your OutlookTemp folder and your Temporary Internet Files folder and
